Who we are

Eryri Garden Design and Eryri Landscape Architecture are trading names of Ian D. Robinson, a sole trader based at 16 Ralph Street, Porthmadog, Gwynedd LL49 9UA. Contact: ian@eryrila.co.uk

What information we collect

When you contact us. If you use our contact form, book a discovery call, or email us, we collect your name, email address, telephone number if you give one, and whatever you tell us about your property and project.

If you join our mailing list. We collect your email address, and we record when you subscribed.

When you visit the site. Our hosting provider records standard technical information including IP address, browser type and pages visited. If analytics are enabled, we may also collect anonymised information about how the site is used. You will be asked to consent to any non-essential cookies before they are set.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

To respond to your enquiry and discuss a possible commission. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, or steps taken at your request before entering a contract.

To deliver services if you commission us. Our lawful basis is contract.

To send occasional updates if you have asked for them. Our lawful basis is consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

To keep the site secure and working. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests.

To meet our legal and accounting obligations. Our lawful basis is legal obligation.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information and we do not share it for marketing purposes.

Enquiries sent through this site are received and handled by Eryri Landscape Architecture, which provides administrative support to Eryri Garden Design.

We use service providers who process information on our behalf, including our website hosting provider, our email and scheduling platforms, and our accountant. All are bound by contract to process information only on our instructions.

If you would like to know which providers we currently use, email ian@eryrila.co.uk and we will tell you.

Some of our providers may store information outside the UK. Where that happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

If you commission us, we may share relevant project information with contractors, consultants or your local planning authority, and we will tell you before we do.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a commission: two years.

Project records: seven years after completion, for professional and insurance purposes.

Mailing list: until you unsubscribe, and for a short period afterwards to record that you did.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to ask us to delete it, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format.

To exercise any of these, email ian@eryrila.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies

This site uses only essential cookies. These keep the site working: maintaining security, keeping forms and sessions running, and remembering basic preferences. They do not track you and are not used for advertising.

We do not currently use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, we will ask for your consent before any such cookies are set, and update this page.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though parts of the site may not work as intended.
